If you have ever wondered what it
would be like to sail a boat yourself and issue the swarthy nautical terms that
make it so then Capt. Dave would be delighted to have you aboard for a two day
hands-on private sailing lesson. Importantly, you’ll learn the nautical terms
that have been used for hundreds of years and you’ll learn how to effectively
capture the wind that will propel the boat forward effortlessly. Both are
inextricably linked and steeped in the lore of the sea. Capt. Dave will guide
you through the different points-of-sail, the rules-of-the-road and offer up
the etymology of a certain term or phrase from time-to-time. Bow pulpit you
say? Why?
If time is of the essence, then Capt. Dave can provide a one day introductory course that will give you the beginnings of ultimately sailing yourself. Basic terms and a hands-on approach will let you get the feel for sailing and whether or not it is a life-style that you would enjoy pursuing further.
Either approach will give you a feel for sailing and how to effectively sail a boat.
